It’s another year for the Polar Pop to raise funds for the Bellwood-Antis unified bocce team.

This year the event is on February 12

Students will have the opportunity to pop a water balloon over the head of one of their favorite teachers and chances in the form of tickets can be purchased soon.

Fundraisers will set up a table outside of the cafeteria where students can buy a ticket for a $1 or $5 for ten tickets. Organizers then draw student names to see who gets to pop the balloons in an event normally held in the morning during homeroom

The polar pop is always livestreamed, and students will be able to watch as it goes down.

All the money raised goes towards the Special Olympics of PA, which all directly benefits our unified bocce team.

Last year, Mr. Barr, Ms. Shimel, Mr. Wood, Mr. Hallahan, Mr. Lovrich, Mr. Hughes, Mr. McNaul, Mrs. Flarend, Mr. Sachse, Mr. Schreier, Mr. Rhone, and Mrs. Cramer all participated in the polar pop. The bocce team had a goal to raise $250 dollars for the Special Olympics of PA. The bocce team is planning to match their previous goal!
