When it comes to superheroes Marvel clears the competition. You can always count on them to make an absolute banger of a movie. While every fan has their own favorites, the best Marvel films are the ones that combine great heroes, unforgettable moments, and meaningful themes.

1. Avengers Endgame. Now see I know this one’s kind of obvious and I might seem basic for this, but if I were to make this list and not put it at #1, I’d have to be crazy. Not only is this a top 3 MCU movies, but it’s also a top 3 superhero movie in general. This film is the 2nd highest-grossing movie of all time bringing in about 2.79 billion dollars worldwide. One of the reasons it’s so good is because Marvel was never afraid to end the main characters/superheroes which sets new characters up for success. Another reason this movie was so great was because it stuck a landing for 22 movies. the last reason this movie was so great was because of how great the ending was (Final fight scene, Iron man death, and heroes choosing their paths).

2. Avengers Infinity War. Sort of similar to Endgame, this one might seem like a very basic option, but you simply cannot make a list and not have this in your top 3. As of right now Infinity War is at 7th all time for highest grossing films bringing in 2.05 billion dollars worldwide. This movie was so good because this was the first time you saw certain groups of heroes come together with other ones (Thor and Guardians of the galaxy and Iron man & Doctor Strange). Another reason it was good was because of how unexpected the outcome was, for example most superhero movies end with “the good guys” winning, but in this one they actually lose and most of them die. Last reason this movie was so great was because it was the perfect buildup for Endgame.

3. Captain America Civil War. I could see myself getting a lot of hate for this one, but I don’t really care because it’s an underrated gem. As of right now this movie is at #32 all time highest grossing movies pulling in about 1.15 billion dollars worldwide. This movie was amazing for many reasons, but the one that sticks out to me most is the airport scene. During this scene there were so many superheroes making it kind of its own avengers movie. Another thing that makes this a classic movie is the final fight scene between Captain America, Iron Man, and Bucky where it was pure emotion and toughness in the long/tiring fight. The last reason it was great is because the avengers were officially broken up, all trust was gone, and it made Infinity War become possible.
