When it comes to choosing the best fruits, everyone has their favorite, but a few always rise to the top. From a classic lunchbox staple to a refreshing tropical pick, these fruits have earned their place in the spotlight.
1. Bananas. Some might disagree with this choice, but I don’t really care because it’s my #1. Bananas are grown on what’s called a “banana tree” which looks like a tree but doesn’t actually have any wood. Bananas are primarily grown in tropical regions around the world, rather than in most parts of America. The leading country in banana production is India, which produces approximately 3.45 billion tonnes of bananas yearly. Bananas are one of the most versatile fruits, and they can be used to make many different foods and products. They also have a naturally sweet taste and are full of important nutrients that are good for your body.
2. Apples. I could switch the #1 and #2 spot around, but for my personal preference I have apples at second. Apples are actually grown on a real tree unlike the fraudulent “banana tree”. Apples are grown in temperate regions like USA, China, and Turkey. The leading country for apple production is China with 48 million metric tons annually. Similar to bananas, apples are extremely rich in flavor sometimes even having a sour but good taste. They are extremely versatile and can produce various foods and products. The thing that apples have that bananas don’t is how many different kinds of apples there are (7,500).
3. Oranges. Whether you’re talking about the color or the fruit I think orange fits perfectly at #3. Same with apples, oranges grown on a tree called an evergreen tree. Oranges are primarily grown in a tropical environment like Brazil, India, and China. Brazil is actually the country that produces the greatest number of oranges racking up 17 million tons a year. Now see oranges might not be as versatile as the others. However, the taste is very similar in ranking if not better. There are only about 400 different types of oranges worldwide, and all of them have a sweet and nourishing tase.
HM: Strawberries and pineapples.
