COLLEGE CORNER: Alexis Parson
Alexis Parson is off to Clarion next fall.
Senior Alexis Parson will be attending Clarion University of Pennsylvania in the fall of 2018.
Before picking Clarion, she had applied to three other schools, including Indiana University of Pennsylvania, Lock Haven University and Penn State Altoona.
She will be majoring in Biology. Alexis chose Clarion based on the Biology Program and the small-college feel.
With a Biology major Alexis can do a wide range of jobs, but she would like to be a marine biologist.
Alexis anticipates that teachers in college won’t care if you do or don’t come to classes. They won’t chase you down for work like you would see in a high school.
Even though Alexis is active in volleyball and track at Bellwood-Antis, she will not be taking on sports in college because of her desire to focus on her academics.
