Brayden Wenzel has decided to go into the United States Army upon graduation in May.
The military is quite a change of pace from high school, and with it comes a lot of stress from being in a new place. However, Brayden believes he’ll be able to succeed there.
“My father played a big role in my decision to go into the military,” he said.
Brayden noted that he’ll be the second generation going into the military. Both his father and 2 uncles served, with his dad having just retired after 22 years serving in the Marines.
Bellwood-Antis has played a very impactful role for Brayden because it allowed him to learn new things and make new friends.
A talented percussionist, Brayden spent much of his time at B-A playing for music director Mr. Sachse.
“I’m going to miss the marching band the most,” he said.
As for advice he would give to the underclassmen, Brayden recommended turning dreams into reality.
“Don’t let your dreams be dreams. You have one life, live it best. In your toughest moments, you’re not alone for the friends you’ve made along the way. Good luck my friends,” he said.
