Blue Devils take down undefeated Southern Huntington
The Blue Devils were able to take down the Southern Huntingdon Rockets by a score of (92-58) yesterday at Memorial Stadium. With that win the boys continue on their undefeated season in the hunt for a conference title.
Junior Shawn Wolfe won the 100 and 200 meter dashes and took part in the 400 and 1600 relay team wins. Clay Engle took wins in both the triple jump and long jump. BA dominated most field events with a shot put win from Chris Wertman, Braden Heisler took the javelin and Dominick Faith won the pole vault. Tanner Worthing won the 400 meter dash by a margin of three seconds and also ran a leg of the 1400 and 1600 relays.
The Lady Blue Devils were able to gain a win behind the efforts of Kamryn Mercer who won all three of her field events triple, long and high jump. Jamyson Focht took home first places in the 100 and 200 meter dash along with Jenna Bartlett taking the 1600 and 3200 yard dashes.
Freshman Sicily Yingling won the 400 meter dash and the 800 meter run along with running in the 3200 relay team. Lexi Gerwert won the pole vault with a cleared height of 11 feet 5 inches
