While some thing charge others stay the same.

Thirty years ago B-A was in the middle of Homecoming week, with many of the same special moments as today.

There were five nominees for the 1996-97 Homecoming Queen: Wendy Garner, Chrissy Houser, Shannon Miller, Misty Schmidt, and Ashleigh Thornhill.

The five escorts for these five ladies were Mike Vandevander, Mike DelGrosso, Tom Boob, Brent Gerwert, and Justin Beatty.

The 1996 Homecoming spirit week included:

Monday- Button Day

Tuesday-Dress-up Day

Wednesday- Tie Day

Thursday-Hat Day

Friday-Blue and Gold Day

The queen was announced during half-time of the Bellwood/Southern Huntingdon football game. Wendy Garner was named queen, while Misty Schmidt (First Runner-Up) and Shannon Miller (Second Runner-up) finished just behind her.

This year, the Homecoming dance was last Saturday 22nd with a hype feeling in the Myers gym to kick off the latest Homecoming spirit week.

Spirit days for this year’s homecoming include:

Monday-Red, White, and Blue Day

Tuesday-Red Neck Day

Wednesday-Beach Day

Thursday-Meme Day

Friday-Crazy Hat Day

This Friday at the Northern Bedford game is where the Homecoming Queen will be announced during half-time.
