The Bellwood-Antis Blue Devils brought home yet another win on Friday with their 49-0 win over West Branch.

B-A is on a six game winning streak and they are looking to get yet another one with their game tonight against winless Mount Union at Memorial Stadium.

This week’s game could easily be overlooked by the Devils, with a game against 6-1 Tussey Mountain next Friday.

The Devils need to stay focused and go one step at a time, looking for constant improvement, according to Coach Nick Lovrich.

“We try to focus more on improving ourselves instead of who we are playing. We show our guys what the opponent does offensively and defensively and what in our system will work,” Coach Lovrich said. “Our goal each week is to improve on what we are as a team. If we do that, a lot of the times that takes care of the game of Friday.”

Some things Coach said the team needed to capitalize on this week is shutting down Trojan quarterback Quinton Posey, who is a very good athlete who can make big plays for his team. Posey, has rushed for 450 yards and has thrown 863 yards.

Mount Union has a total of 1,726 yards with 1,313 coming from Posey. He has 76% of the team’s offensive yards and is looking to continue that against B-A.

If the Devils can shut him down throughout the game then Bellwood should be in good shape for the game.

“We also need to win the battle in the trenches on both sides of the ball,” said Lovrich, whose Devils rushed for 310 yards against West Branch.

Bellwood would also like to come out on Mount Union and put some numbers on the board early.
