B-A boys fall in consolation game

Last evening, the Devils  played their 3A consolation game against Forest Hills at the Altoona Field House.

Despite a 66-40 loss, B-A is ready to make a run at states, playing their first game against Lincoln Park.

Forest Hills went on a 10-2 run at the start of the game, jumped up by double-digits in the second quarter, and had a 37-19 lead at the half.

Mason Yingling led the Devils with 12 points and Nathan Wolfe scored 8 points. The numbers were well below the season average for the duo.

The Rangers had three players reach double figures, led by Mitchell Chunta’s game-high 17. Of Forest Hills’ eight threes, Chunta had three of them.

Josh Schrock scored 13 while Adam Cecere added 11.

The Devils, which fell to 16-9, will face Lincoln Park, which is the WPIAL champion, March 16 for their first round of the PIAA state playoffs.
