Bellwood-Antis senior cross country runner Ashley Yohn has worked extremely hard coming into her final season for the Lady Blue Devils.

“From Last year to this year, I greatly improved.  I thought I would never get into the 22’s for the cross country season.  When Ms. R told me I did, I was speechless,” said Ashley.

The Blueprint has chosen Ashley Yohn for its Athlete of the Week for her outstanding efforts on the cross country course.

Ashley has won six meets so far this year, and her personal record is 22:58.  She also runs track in the Spring, and her best mile time is 6:20.

“I want to go to districts for track, and get an award for either cross country, or track,”  said Ashley

With the end of the first marking period just on the horizon, Ashley has goals for herself not just running, but also in the classroom.

“I also plan to get on honor roll, and after school I want to go to CTC for medical assistance, then go into the Navy,”  Ashley stated.

Good luck to Ashley and the rest of the cross country team as they hope to have a successful end to the season.
