Devils dominate Glendale

The Blue Devil baseball team traveled to Glendale last night to take on the winless Vikings. BA got up early and continued to score. The Devils destroyed the Vikings, winning 17-0 in 4 innings.

Senior Arik Shildt started on the mound and threw a good game for Bellwood. Shildt pitched all 4 innings, only allowing 1 hit and 1 walk. He also struck out 6 Glendale batters.

The Devils were able to jump out to a quick lead, scoring 2 runs in each of the first 3 innings. BA broke the game open in the top of the fourth inning, scoring 11 runs.

Sophomore Nick Kost did some damage at the plate with a pair of hits and 4 RBI’s.

Glendale drops to 0-3 this season and Bellwood improves their record to 4-2.

BA’s next game will be against Claysburg at home on Thursday evening. This will be Bellwood’s senior night.
