It’s not easy replacing a legend, but that’s the job Susan Grassmyer is tasked with.

Long-time secretary Deb Sitman retired last month, giving the office a new face.

As the new district office secretary, Mrs. Grassmyer helps assist Superintendent Dr. Thomas McInroy, assists the business office with any needs, and  helps make preparations for board meetings.

She said she chose this job because she wanted to be part of the Bellwood community.

“Bellwood has a reputation for being a close-knit and that really appealed to me,” Mrs. Grassmyer said.

She loves the job so far and her favorite thing  has been meeting new people and getting to know everyone.

“There was a learning curve, but the people have made it easy to settle in,” she said.

She said her job  is very fun and being part of this wonderful atmosphere is a lot of fun.

Deb Sitman trained Mrs. Grassmyer and taught her everything she knew. Mrs. Grassmyer noted that she was very appreciative of everything Deb did for her.
