Boys basketball take down Hornets

Dawson Miller had a big game to help lead B-A over Juniata Valley.

Last night, the Bellwood-Antis Blue Devils traveled to Alexandria to take on the Juniata Valley Hornets. The Blue Devils were able to come out victorious 60-49, claiming their second win of the season moving their record to 2-1 on the year.

Seniors Sean Mallon and Dawson Millers made major contributions, scoring 19 points, and 16 points.

Bellwood was in a close game the whole first half, which saw them trailing 29-27 going into halftime.

The Blue Devils were able to reclaim the lead in the third quarter, and further extend the lead in the fourth quarter. Bellwood managed to outscore the Hornets 33-20 in the second half, giving them the 11-point victory.

B-A is now 2-0 in the ICC as the Christmas break approaches. The Devils will have off until Monday when they face another conference opponent, traveling to Moshannon Valley. They wrap up before break with a game against Central on Wednesday.
