Girls basketball tops the Lady Vikings

Chelsea McCaulsky scored 17 points in a win over Everett.

Last night the girl’s basketball team traveled to Glendale to take on the 7-3 Lady Vikings. The Lady Devils were able to get the job done cruising to a 55-30 win and improving their record to 9-2. The girl’ team is now first in the ICC North, and third in the district playoff standings.

The Lady Devils got off to a good start in the first quarter taking the lead 12-4. Bellwood caught fire in the second quarter raining in 25 points, and pushing their lead to 37-10 at halftime. The Lady Devils held on to their big first half lead, winning the game by 25 (55-30).

Junior Chelsea McCaulsky was the leading scorer for Bellwood scoring 17 points, and raining in 4 three pointers, with Lydia Worthing and Jaidyn McCracken both adding in 10 points of their own. Chloe Hammond added in 9 points of her own sinking three three-pointers.

The Girl’s next game will take place on Saturday at 5, when they travel to Everett to take on the Warriors.
