The basketball teams get yet another victory!
The Bellwood-Antis basketball teams continued to roll to victory with wins last Friday, while the wrestling had some place-winners at a big tournament.
At Glendale’s High School the Bellwood-Antis Lady Blue Devils had awin of 63-29 over the Lady Vikings, making their record 3-0.
Sophomore Karson Swogger led the team with 21 total points, nearly half the team’s total points. Seniors Ana Hollen scored 16 points and Kelly Leamer scored 12.
The Bellwood-Antis Blue Devil boys’ basketball team played a tough game and also came out on top with an 81-62 victory over Glendale’s boys’ basketball team last Friday at the Bellwood-Antis High School gymnasium.
Nathan Davis led the team with 29 total points. Freshman Trent Walker and sophomore Joey Padula followed close behind Davis. Walker had 17 total points and Padula had 11.
The boys now have a record of 2-1.
The Bellwood-Antis wrestling team entered the Penn Cambria Sheetz Holiday Tournament last Friday and had wrestlers that made it into the championship.
Senior Jeremy Wilson went all the way to the quarter finals.
Wilson wasn’t the only one who made it pretty far into the tournament. Junior Nate Claar, senior Zach Mock, sophomore Noah Schratzmeier, and sophomore Ryan Kerns all made it into the 3rd consolation bracket.
