B-A track and field teams sweep quad meet

Last night both the boys and girls track team won the quad meet over Southern Huntingdon, Fannett Metal, and Everett. 

The girls put on a dominant performance scoring 160 points over Southern Huntingdon’s 66 points, which placed second. 

Top performers for the B-A girls were senior Lydia Worthing, who placed first in pole vault (10-0) and high jump (4-8). Senior Lexi Lovrich took first in the 800m and 1600m run with times of 2:41 and 5:49. Senior Alyson Partner took two first place finishes in the shot put (30-7) and discus (81-10). Freshman Lily McNelis took first place in the 3200m run with a time of 14:27.

The girls record is now 6-1 and their next meet is home against Juniata Valley and Southern Fulton tomorrow 4/13.

The B-A boys also beat all three opposing teams with a score of 112, with the closest being Everett with a score of 84.

Some top performers for the Blue Devil boys were senior Dylan Andrews, who took first in the long jump, triple jump and the pole vault with heights of 19-2, 39-6, and 13-6. Senior Eli Pluebell won the shot put (41-9) and discus (117-2).

The boys record is now 5-2 and their next meet is home against Juniata Valley and Southern Fulton Thursday.
