Girls track and field team improves to 9-1, boys fall to Central

Yesterday, both the boys and girls track teams traveled to Central to face the Dragons in a dual meet.

The Bellwood-Antis girls got an 82-68 win over Central improving their record to 9-1. The

Blue Devil boys came up short to the Dragons with a score of 105-45 putting them at 7-3 on the season. 

Top scorers for the girls team were Lexi Lovrich, who took first in the 800, 1600, and the 3200 run with times of 2:41, 5:41, and 13:15, and  Lydia Worthing, who took first place in the pole vault and high jump with 10-0 and 4-8.

Chelsea McCaulsky won the javelin.

Top scorers for the boys were Kole Dickinson, who won both hurdle events with times of 17.0 in the 110s and and 46.2 in the 300. Eli Pluebell took first place in the shot put with a distance of 40-2.5. Dylan Andrews took first in the pole vault with a height of 9-6. 

The next event for the track and field teams are Thursday 4/18 against McConnellsburg and Tussey Mountain at McConnellsburg.
