B-A has another successful invite

Kole Dickinson took home the gold in the 110 meter hurdles at the Bellwood-Antis Invitational on Monday.

The Bellwood-Antis track and field teams competed in the annual B-A Invitational on Monday, one of the longest-standing track meets in Central Pennsylvania. Under tough and challenging weather conditions, the Blue Devils were still able to make a successful day.

The boys team was able to finish 4th overall out of 16 teams with a total of 49 points. Central took first place overall with a total of 95 points. The Lady Devils took 7th place as a team out of 18 teams. Bedford’s girls took first place overall with a total of 95 points. 

Bellwood-Antis had multiple people place in the top 6 to earn points.

Kole Dickinson and Dylan Andrews were the top finishers for the Blue Devils. Dickinson took first place in the 110m hurdles with  a time of 16.02 seconds and finished 4th in the 300m hurdles with a time of 42.61 seconds. Dylan Andrews was the top finisher in the pole vault with a height of 13-3 and placed 6th in the triple jump with a distance of 39-03.

Gaven Ridgway took 5th place in the 400m with a time of 56.27 seconds. Caleb Beiswenger placed 6th in the 3200m with a time of 11:31 minutes. 

The boys 4×100 relay finished 6th with a time of 47.58 seconds, and the 4×400 relay team finished 5th with a time of 3:48 minutes. 

Eli Pluebell had a 4th place finish in the discus with a distance of 114-09, and a 3rd place finish in the shot put with a distance of 41-11. Chance Schreier finished 3rd overall in the javelin with a distance of 138-02. 

The girls had multiple athletes place in the top 6 as well. Lydia Worthing was the Lady Devils’ lone champion, taking  first in the pole vault with a height of 9-09. Lexi Lovrich was B-A’s next highest place-winner, earning 2nd in the 1600m and the 3200m with times of 5:31 and 11:55.

Brielle Campbell took 6th in the 200m with a time of 28.61 seconds.  Chloe Stoltzfus took 5th in the 300m hurdles with a time of 53.05. 

The girls 4×100 relay team finished 5th with a time of 53.25 seconds, and the 4×400 relay team took 4th overall with a time of 4:36 minutes. The 4×800 relay team placed 5th with a time of 11:04 minutes. 

Lilly Gerwert finished 6th in the high jump with a height of 4-08. Chloe Hammond placed 6th in the long jump with a distance of 15-02. 

Chelsea McCaulsky finished 5th in the javelin with a distance of 94-05. 

The next invitational for the B-A track and field teams is on Friday at Altoona, where they will be competing in the Altoona Mountain Lion Classic.
