In February, BA Mini-THON has several different days coming up to finish out the THON season before the big event on March 1st! Their overall goal is to raise $20,000 for THON! They originally set a goal of $5,000, then $10,000, and they’ve met both of those previous goals. Now, these up coming events and due dates will help further their earnings to meet their biggest goal yet.

To start with, there will be an order form going out for Mini-THON t-shirts. They will be due Friday, February 9. The theme for the March 1st event is superheroes, so the shirts resemble that with the skyline. Flyers can be found outside of room 104 on the bulletin board.

On Valentine’s Day, February 14, teachers will have the opportunity to donate $5 to Mini-THON for a dress down day. All money raised will be helping them get closer to their goal.

Then on Thursday February 15, there will be a district wide stall day held. For the stall day, students are to bring in lose change for their 1st period teacher to count which stalls class. The teacher may not begin teaching until all the change is counted. At the end, all the change will go towards Mini-THON to help fulfill their goal.

Although there has not been a Mini-THON event since 2021, student enthusiastically came together with the new advisors to make this happen.

“We first set our goal at $5,000,” stated Mr. Shawn Hallahan, one of the four mini-THON advisors. “We weren’t sure of a good goal to set because it’s been a couple of years since B-A has held Mini-Thon. Then after the tremendous support and success of the Winter dance, we increased our goal to $10,000 and have met that goal as well!”

Please make sure to help support Mini-THON and their continuing efforts in the coming month!
