Holly Winfield and Izzy Nguyen of Centre Dance were the winners of the 2024 Dancing with the Stars contest hosted by the Bellwood-Antis Foundation. Amy Mearkle was on hand to present the duo its awards.

On Wednesday, April 24, the second annual Dancing with the Stars event was held in the high school auditorium, along with a spaghetti dinner prior to the show. The Bellwood-Antis Foundation-sponsored competition was a success, with fifteen competing duos, six group numbers, and two dancers going home with a mirror ball trophy.

The show opened with a group routine from students of Centre Dance, followed by an introduction of the night’s three judges: Molly Burns, Jocelyn Hrzic, and Kristen Kauffman.

Dancing with the Stars drew in competitors from schools across Central PA, including Tyrone, Hollidaysburg, State College, Bishop Guilfoyle, Altoona, Grier, and Bellwood-Antis.

At the end of the evening filled with dancing and basket raffles, a combination of total judges’ scores and audience vote totals revealed the winner of the night.

The first place title and a shiny trophy to take home was awarded Holly Winfield and Izzy Nguyen of Centre Dance. The pair also walked away with $100 to split.

Donations and admission to the event benefit the B-A Foundation, which supplies grant money to countless BASD teacher-led projects throughout the school year.

Congratulations to Holly and Izzy, and all dancers who participated!
