Be kind to others
Being nice isn’t really that hard of a thing to do, right?
Something as simple as holding the door for the person behind you counts, wouldn’t you agree?
What about stepping it up a notch by helping your neighbor shovel their driveway? Are you willing to do such a feat? To take twenty minutes out of your day and help someone else?
Or maybe you’re one of those people that doesn’t even think twice about the simple things in life. Whatever the case, today is the day to reach out and make someone smile. It’s National Random Act of Kindness Day.
You can take Hannah Cherry’s approach and say something sweet to someone: “I try to tell someone they look nice everyday,” the senior said.
Or you could go about it like seniors Chad Luensmann, Anna Wolfe, Natalie Dumin, and MattMcMillan and help a teacher. They helped ninth grade class advisor Mr. Naylor hang election campaign posters during a first-period study hall.
“They saved me from rolling about one hundred tape balls by myself and got a job that would have taken me a whole period done in ten minutes,” Mr. Naylor said.
Way to go kids, way to go.
Have you ever heard of paying it forward? You know, when you do something nice that will help someone else(check out this trailer)? There was even a Florida Starbucks where one family decided to pay it forward then every single car after them followed suit for the next eleven hours. Eleven hours straight, 378 customers, paid it forward.
Whether it’s big or small, simple or extravagant, make someone’s day a little brighter by being kind.
