B-A musicians participate in PMEA Region III Band
Revel Southwell, Curt Messner and Sarah Knisely all performed last Friday at the PMEA Region 3 Band Festival.
Three Bellwood-Antis students attended the PMEA Region III Band Festival on Friday, February 13 at the Altoona Area High School.
These students were sophomore Sarah Knisely, playing oboe, and junior Revel Southwell and senior Curt Messner, both playing trumpet.
B-A Band Director Patrick Sachse said, “This festival was a wonderful opportunity for talented musicians to play in a larger ensemble, work with an excellent director, and collaborate with students from different schools.”
The Guest Director was Dr. Bradley Genevro from Messiah College. He is a Director of Bands at Messiah College and also a Music Director of the Philadelphia Wind Symphony.
Sachse said Genervo was a big reason the concert was as successful as it was.
“This was the best Region Band Festival I’ve been a part of,” he said.
