Now trending and coming to Altoona: Crumbl Cookies
The buzz has been circulating around Bellwood-Antis, and there are very mixed reactions amongst students and staff.
“I’m very excited,” said Lily McNelis. “I’m going to spend so much money there!”
“I think that Crumbl is overrated,” claimed Cameron Gallagher.
Gianna Juart, Bellwood’s 2024-2025 Homecoming Queen, commented, “Super excited! I’ve only had Crumbl a few times, so I’m excited to try more of their cookies!”
“I think it’s one more awful eating choice we have because of the sugar,” Mr. Naylor grumbled.
“The Partner Family is really excited,” Mr. Partner said on behalf of his family. “We are big fans of Crumbl Cookie.”
“I’ve never had a cookie fropm there so I can’t really say,” Ms. Harris says hesitantly. “But I don’t really want to spend that much money on a cookie.”
Mrs. Solomon said similarly, “It’s overpriced, I’ve never had one so I may be a little biased, but I don’t think the prices are worth it.”
“We don’t need more junk food! They keep adding Arby’s, pizza shops, etc. When are they going to open a broccoli or cauliflower store?!” Mr. Rhone ranted.
News: What does this actually mean for consumers?
Crumbl cookie is known for its unique designs and delicious flavors, but what’s behind all of that sugary goodness?
About 400-1,000+ calories per cookie, and over 40-100+ percent in fats. Also the costs can be pretty pricey, depending on the consumer and how many cookies they want in a pack, but also if they want a regular or a mini pack. The least you can get in the mini packs is a Mini 3-Pack which is $7.99, and the greatest being a Mini 12-Pack for $24.99. For large desserts you can get a single cookie for $4.49 to the largest pack being a 12-Pack at $42.99.
Crumbl Cookie has more than just cookies. They also serve water, milk, cookie dough bits, and ice cream called “Cream.”
Overall the business does well, having 862 stores worldwide, 29,000 workers, and selling over a million cookies a day according to WTAJ.
