Sensational Sophomore: Jasmine McCoy
March 6, 2015
Sophomore Jasmine McCoy is a lover of the school’s chicken bowl, dying her hair cool colors, and all around is a really unique and cool person. That is why she is the Sensational Sophomore of the month.
Jasmine was born in Lock Haven, and she has moved 13 times since she was 4 years old.
“It’s hard to be the new girl so many times, but you just be nice to everyone and people end up liking you,” she said.
Jasmine’s favorite school subject is art and her favorite thing to draw is people and facial structures.
Jasmine also is known for having senioritis since the beginning of high school in 9th grade.
“One thing I would tell my freshman self is to remember your morals,” she said.
She thinks people care too much about what goes on during school with drama and what everyone else thinks.
“Remember, high school doesn’t last forever. After 4 years it means nothing,” she said, when asked what piece of advice she would give to others.
Her favorite food is Chinese and potatoes. She enjoys camping and having fires in her free time.
Jasmine is known for her cool and sometimes colorful hair dying.
“I have dyed it ten different colors. I started dying it when I was nine years old,” she said.
She would describe herself as outgoing and her style as very old school and unique. She likes to shop a lot for clothes.
Her favorite song is “It’s Gonna Be Me” by *NSYNC.
Her favorite sport is soccer, which she used to play for 4 or 5 years.
“I played for State College, Bellefonte, Carolltown, and Altoona. I got injured so I can’t play anymore, so that’s really depressing for me,” she said.
It may not be on the soccer field but Jasmine is still making an impact at Bellwood-Antis through her unique and kind personality.
