The Lady Devils hit the road to Tyrone Tuesday to face off the Lady Eagles. Tyrone’s strong pitching effort fueled their bats to combine for seven hits in the win.

The Lady Devils fell to a 9-1 final. They moved to 2-7 on the season while Tyrone advanced to 3-5.
Tyrone started the scoring in the first. They then put up a five spot in the bottom of the third to bring the Lady Eagles to an early 6-0 lead. Tyrone was led by Lucy Fogelman who went 3-for-5 and knocked in three runs. Amariah Sprankle homered and followed with two RBIs. Ally McNelis also added two RBIs in the win.
Tyrone ultimately scored three more in the fourth to bring it to 9-0. Eagle pitcher Kaitlyn Rockwell got the win. She struck out 11 and only allowed a single free pass.
The Lady Devils were held scoreless until the top of the sixth. Freshman Karlie Sweigert provided two hits for B-A. Palynn Greg picked up the loss despite her nine strikeouts.
The girls continue their road trip Thursday where they travel to Central Cambria. The Red Devils are currently 6-3 and will be a challenging conference game.
