Recently, Bellwood-Antis vocalists Alia Bennett, Alyssa Briggs, Vance Finamore, and Lyn Lambart, were chosen to participate in PMEA District 6 chorus.

All of these students performed well and will represent the school on January 7, 2026 at the District 6 choral concert at Richland High School.

District pre-auditions were on Oct 19 at Shanksville-Stonycreek High School, and many other districts there, including schools from Bedford, Blair, Cambria, and Somerset counties.

They all thought they did well, and they were grateful towards the family and teachers who helped prepare them.

“I’m very thankful for all of the support I have received,” Lambert said.

For most of the District q1ualifiers, this year was the first time they auditioned due to schedule constraints in the past, like jobs.

“I always wanted to try out; I just couldn’t make the time for it,” Bennett said.

The time for practicing is growing shorter: the singers try our again in November with a chance to qualify for PMEA region III chorus.
