The Bellwood Antis’ music department will perform Little Shop of Horrors on March 26, 27, and 28. The BluePrint will be highlighting cast members in the days leading up to the raising of the curtains.
The play follows the story of the owner of a plant shop who discovers a plant in his store that feeds on human flesh and blood.
The play is directed by Molly Burns with Mr. Logue as the music director.

Today, we’re focusing on Alyssa Briggs who plays Crystal.
“Alyssa brings great energy and confidence to Crystal. She really anchors the trio vocally and has a strong stage presence that helps drive each number forward,” said director Molly Burns.
How long have you been in the musical for?
Little Shop of Horrors is my second musical
What are you most looking forward to about the musical?
I’m looking forward to our show nights where I can perform with my friends one last time before graduation.
What made you decide to audition for the musical?
I had so much fun in the musical last year and I love singing so much I just had to audition.
Have you had any struggles while preparing for the musical?
Our director Molly told me that I had the most difficult part as far as singing goes and I can see why she said that. It has taken a lot of work for me to sing without damaging my voice, but it’s starting to all come together.
Who has helped you the most through your musical preparations?
Molly, Mr. Logue, and Mara have helped me the most during this shoe especially with all the music.
What advice would you give to anyone interested in doing the musical in the future?
I would tell them to do it. It’s so much fun and it teaches you lots of life lessons. Even if you think you can’t sing, you can still be a part of it and have fun.
