If you didn’t know Riva as a person and based him solely on his role in the musical you’d probably think he’s some punk, Timmy tough knuckles kid; however, he’s really quite the opposite.
This week’s Artist of the Week is sophomore Tristin Riva.
Riva has a bubbly personality and really gets alone with everyone which is why it’s a little confusing how he landed the role of the punk, bad guy.
Riva has a crucial role in this year’s musical Little Shop of HorrorsĀ as the dentist, quite an important role.
He has been in the musical since he was in 6th grade.
Riva said he originally started participating in the musical because of his mother but said he really started to fall in love with the process and being a part of something great.
Even though he has some unbelievable talent he said he doesn’t plan to take it to the next level and said he is just going straight to work-force.
Riva is also in Chorus; he’s been in Chorus for 4 years.
He said this, “I’m extremely honored to play this role. Even if I’m under looked for being an underclassman, I believe I can do just as well as someone older.”
