Caroline Showalter: A Mountie in the Making

Hannah Klesius

Caroline Showalter will be playing softball next year at Mount Aloysius.

BluePrint: What College were you accepted into?

Showalter: Mount Aloysius.

BluePrint: How many colleges did you apply to?

Showalter: It was the first I applied to, and I was signed so fast I didn’t feel a need to apply anywhere else.

BluePrint: What made you apply to this specific college?

Showalter: I committed to play softball for the Mount. Therefore I committed in June and applied that same day. The Mount wasn’t big and it just felt like a perfect fit.

BluePrint: What are you planning on majoring in?

Showalter: Psychology.

BluePrint: What made you choose this specific major?

Showalter:I want to be a sports psychologist and work with athletes.

BluePrint: What do you think will be some of the major differences between college and high school?

Showalter: I think the biggest difference will be not going from one class to another all day long. It will also feel strange not playing high school sports with my teammates whom I’ve known for so long.

BluePrint: What are your feelings on moving on from Bellwood-Antis?

Showalter:I’m happy to be away from the high school drama and moving forward in my life. However, I’m sad that I won’t be able to see my friends every day and I’ll miss the sports.
