Walking past the district office you might notice a giant Christmas tree, but it’s no ordinary tree. It’s a tree of books.

This Christmas tree was created by the district office staff as an interesting way to decorate for the holiday season.

“When we started putting the tree up, Dr. McInroy thought it would be a good idea to make a contest out of it,” says Mrs. Savino in the district office.

The contest is simple: guess how many books make up the tree.

The library has donated all the books to make the tree, and the prize pack that comes with winning. Prizes include a stadium blanket, drawstring gym bag, lanyard, and a scarf.

Each vote must be accompanied by 25 cents. All proceeds will be donated to the Bellwood Public Library.

The winner will be announced after Christmas break.

Be sure to stop in to the district office and take a guess. Counting is not allowed.
