Bellwood-Antis girls prevail over West Branch

Wrestling team falls to Moshannon Valley

The Bellwood-Antis girls’ basketball team won yesterday, with a final score of 70-31 against the Lady Warriors of West Branch.

Karson Swogger paced the Lady Blue Devils with 21 points with 6 rebounds and 6 assists, with Sophie Damiano adding 13 points and 13 boards.

“We came out hard and jumped on them right from the start,” said Caroline Showalter.

The win improves their record to 15-4 on the year and 11-1 in the ICC North, with their next game coming against Mount Union on Friday.

The wrestling team also had a bout last night, losing to Moshannon Valley 66-3.

The lone points came on a 6-2 decision by Nate Claar.

The Blue Devils ended up forfeiting a total of 6 matches. Their overall record dropped to 0-11 on the season with the loss.
