Tuesday, April 11 the Bellwood-Antis Band will be hosting an Olive Garden Dinner from 5 to 7 pm.

Olive Garden will be donating and delivering catered dinners to the B-A middle school cafeteria.  The cost for these tickets are only $8.

The dinner will include salad, varying selections of pasta, and bread sticks. Band parents will be hosting a bake sale for desserts.

The dinner will also feature live performances form the Jam Band at 5, middle school band groups  at 5:30, and the Jazz Band at 6.

The band recently finished a fundraising drive to buy the band new band uniforms. The band’s new goal is to continue to save for the uniforms and to buy new instruments.

Band Director Mr. Patrick Sachse had gotten the idea for an Olive Garden fundraiser from Coach John Hayes, the B-A athletic director and football coach, who had forwarded the fundraiser to him.

“We hope to raise $1,500 if we sell all the tickets. We are still raising money for next year’s band uniforms, and we are looking to replace some of our larger instruments such as a bassoon, a baritone saxophone, and a tuba,” he said.

The BAHS Band is looking to keep up with their fundraisers and to find other ways to raise more money for their organization.

“We focus a lot on food. We are hoping to do two Olive Garden dinners and doing more restaurant nights. Also we are not traveling to do parades where they pay for us to preform,” said Mr. Sachse.
