Mrs. Kuhn is one of the 5th grade teachers in the middle school once again this school year! She is a very nice, loving and caring teacher, which is the reason I chose her for this feature article. Her qualities made me want to get to know her a lot better. Here’s what I found out…

Me: What’s the best part about middle school?

Mrs. Kuhn: The students.

Me: Why did you start teaching?

Mrs. Kuhn: I love the kids and wanted to be able to make a difference in their lives.

Me: What’s the best part of teaching?

Mrs. Kuhn: The best part is getting to know my students and the fun times we have together.

Me: What’s your favorite subject to teach and why?

Mrs. Kuhn: It’s hard to pick a favorite subject to teach because I just love teaching in general. But, I do find that their are more hands-on and exciting things we can do in science.

Me: How many years have you been teaching?

Mrs. Kuhn: This is my 15th year teaching.

Me: Do you like teaching 5th grade better than the other grades you taught before?

Mrs. Kuhn: Out of the grades I have taught, I love teaching 5th grade the most.

Me: Is teaching fun?

Mrs. Kuhn: It is challenging, but always rewarding, so yes I do have fun teaching.

Me: What’s the best thing about your students?

Mrs. Kuhn: They always go above and beyond and surprise me with what they are able to do.

It’s pretty easy to see that Mrs. Kuhn has many good qualities and loves teaching all of her students. And that’s why we’re happy she’s part of our middle school.
