Nagle Receives Blair Hall Scholarship
Bellwood-Antis senior Emily Nagle received the Blair County Sports Hall of Fame girl’s scholarship award Saturday night at the HOF dinner at the Blair County Convention Center.
“The banquet was truly amazing! All of my loved ones were there. When I received my scholarship, I could hear them cheering for me. Receiving the scholarship made me feel like all of my hard work has finally paid off,” said Nagle.
Penn State football coach James Franklin was the guest speaker.
Nagle is a three-sport standout for the Lady Blue Devils who stars in volleyball, swimming and softball. She is also an honors student ranked 10th in her class.
In volleyball she led the team with a total of 377 kills, while in softball she’s the first girl in school history to record 100 hits and is currently batting .612. She is All-State and an ICC all-star in both volleyball and softball.
Nagle will play softball next year for Slippery Rock University.
“This scholarship is going to help me a lot with college. I am very thankful I received it,” said Nagle.
