Ellen Crook, already bound for Division-I Pitt to run next year, continued to add to a stellar senior season with her performance last Friday.

The list of amazing accomplishments keeps growing for Bellwood-Antis senior Ellen Crook.

Crook was named the Outstanding Athlete for the girls Friday at the prestigious West Central Coaches Meet at Mansion Park in Altoona. She won gold in the 800-meter run and 1600-meter run and placed third in the 3200-meter run.

Coach Julie Roseborough said Crook’s biggest strength is a never say-die attitude.

“The best thing is she has a quality where she never gives up and nothing is impossible,” Ms. R said.

Other girls who placed were Bailey Swogger in 100-meter dash, Marissa Panasiti in the 400-meter dash, and Alexis Shade and Alana Roberts in the 300 hurdles

On the boys side, place-winners were Alex Bartlett in the 3200-meter run and 1600-meter run, Matt McMillan in the 300 hurdles, Matt Glunt in the high jump, and Nick Torsell in the javelin.
