B-A track teams wins ICC championship

Senior sprinter Cooper Keen is one of the runners who helped B-A’s boys win an ICC championship.

On Thursday, the boys and girl’s track team take on the West Branch Warriors and the Williamsburg Blue Pirates. The track teams were able to take the ICC championship in dominating fashion with the boys beating West Branch (122-28), and Williamsburg (145-5). The girls topped West Branch (130-19), and Williamsburg (145-5).

Boy’s Track

The boy’s track team was dominant winning the 100 and 200 meter dash (Cooper Keen), 400 meter dash (Sean Mallon), 3200 meter (Dallas Smithmyer), 110 and 300 meter hurdles (Hunter Shawley), and the 400 relay.

The boy’s field team was just as dominate posting victories in the high jump (Corry Shanafelt), long jump (Dalton Poorman), triple jump (Dylan Andrews), shot put (Eli Pluebell), discus (Canyon Neyman), javelin (Chance Shreier), and pole vault Dylan Andrews.

Girl’s Track

The girl’s team posted victories in the 100 meter (Campbell), 200 meter (Anna Lovrich), 400 meter (Ava Hassler), 800 and 1600 meter (Lexi Lovrich), 3200 meter (Chloe brown) 100, and 300 meter hurdles (Sophia Nelson), also winning the 400, and 1600 meter relay.

The field team for the girls came out victorious in the high jump (Lydia Worthing), long jump (Olivia Gregg), triple jump (Maliah Hassler), shot put (Allyson Partner), javelin (Chelsea McClausky), and pole vault (Lydia Worthing).

The two wins for both teams propel their records to 11-0 in conference, clinching the ICC championship.
