This week’s Athlete  of the Week is Ethan Johnston, the best golfer in all of Bellwood-Antis.

Ethan recently took home ICC champion in golf, and when asked about it, he said, “Feels great to take it home since it was our last year in the ICC. Wasn’t my best round of golf, but it got the job done.”

Although the Blue Devils took home the ICC champions 3 years back-to-back-to-back, B-A is switching conferences to the Laurel Highlands next year. This conference is said to be much harder competition.

Ethan was asked if he is confident about next year, and he said, “Yes, we have Zach Pier returning, so I’m very confident.” Zach Pier is also one of the top golfers at B-A.

When asked how he got into golf and who he looks up to, he said, “I started getting into golf because of the YT channel Good Good. I look up to John Daly.”

Ethan has played many courses throughout his high school career, but he says his favorite is Bedford Springs where he also shot an 80.

Ethan’s golf handicap is +10.2 (average of 10.2 strokes over par), which is pretty solid for a high school junior.

Ethan also does other things, believe it or not. These things consist of riding dirt bikes, snowboarding, and fishing.

Thanks Ethan and good luck next year!
