Middle school students Alexis Halvorsen and Paie Wenner take part in the Blue Angels project.

Bellwood-Antis is starting its annual Blue Angels project.

This is the fourteenth year for organizer Crystal Himes, the woman who makes this project possible. Blue Angels helps provide Christmas presents to families in need along with the foster children of Blair County.

Bellwood-Antis High School and Middle School students help purchase these gifts and wrap them. There is a tree located at the end of the eighth grade hallway and in the high school lobby. The tree has white tags on it that the students take off the tree and has a suggested present item written on it. The student then buys the gift suggested on the tag and places it underneath the Christmas tree.

From there, the presents are wrapped and delivered to needy families.

We appreciate every student who participates in this project and helps out the families and foster children.

Also, a big thank you to Crystal Himes, Mrs. Nycum, and Mrs. Padula for all their hard work.
