Junior high softball tournament on Saturday
The Bellwood-Antis junior high softball team is hosting a B team tournament on Saturday.
The Bellwood-Antis junior high softball program is hosting a B team tournament, Saturday May 13 at the softball field on North Side.
Games start at 9 a.m. and will have a1 hour drop-dead time limit.
The tournament is simply to provide game time and opportunity’s because B-A’s junior high team has nearly 30 players and many don’t get to play regularly because most ICC teams don’t have B teams.
Tournament organizers are providing food and 50/50 throughout the day.
The following team will be participating: Tyrone, which has entered two teams,, Altoona, Hollidaysburg and Bellwood.
The following junior high players will be participating in the games:
Peyton McCahan, Delaynie McKinney, Ava Moore, Mady Sisto, Morgan Snowberger, Lexi Wagner, Paige Baney, Hayden Drost, Brooke Gottshall, Paige Harpster, Kandence Kelley, Peyton Koozer, Cali Long, Nicolee Lovrich, Kyrah Newberry and Addison Sparrow.
The Lady Devils face Altoona to start the day at 9. They follow that up with a game against Hollidaysburg at 10:15.
Tyrone 1 and Altoona play at 11:30, followed by Hollidaysburg and Tyrone 2 at 12:45.
At 2 Altoona plays Tyrone 2 and at 3:15 Hollidaysburg plays Tyrone 1.
B-A and Tyrone are scheduled to play in one combined B game at 4:30.
