Miranda Tornatore stars as Mae Peterson in the Spring production of Bye Bye Birdie!

In the up-and-coming musical production of Bye Bye Birdie this spring, Miranda Tornatore stars as Mae Peterson. Mrs. Peterson is Albert Peterson’s hysterical mother, and she is the comic relief of the show.

We asked her a few questions about her musical journey and what she’s looking forward to most:

Blueprint: What is your role in the musical?

Miranda: Mae Peterson

Blueprint: Why did you choose to participate?

Miranda: Hearing from others, the musical sounded so fun and exciting.

Blueprint: What is your favorite thing about being in the musical?

Miranda: Meeting new people that i can build new friendships.

Blueprint: Have you participated in previous musicals before?

Miranda: Yes, Annie in 2nd grade.

Blueprint: What can the audience expect from this performance of Bye Bye Birdie?

Miranda: I am hoping the audience will enjoy the musical and get a good laugh in.

Blueprint: Did you know about Bye Bye Birdie before the musical was decided upon?

Miranda: No.

Blueprint: Who do you think the audience’s favorite character will be and why?

Miranda: Conrad Birdie (Thad), his part is silly.

Blueprint: Give us your best pitch on why people should come see the musical.

Miranda: You’ve got to see Bye Bye Birdie! It’s a classic musical comedy that’s bursting with catchy songs and will show you what life was like when Elvis was popular.

Congratulations Miranda! We can’t wait to see the production!
