Gianna Juart stars as Ursula Merkle in the up-coming spring production!

In the up-and-coming musical production of Bye Bye Birdie this spring, Gianna Juart stars as Ursula Merkle. In the show, Ursula is Kim MacAfee’s closest friend!

We asked her a few questions about her musical journey and what she’s looking forward to most:

Blueprint: What is your role in the musical?

Gigi: I play Ursula Merkle.

Blueprint: Why did you choose to participate?

Gigi: I chose to participate because I love the arts and performing with friends is always fun.

Blueprint: What is your favorite thing about being in the musical?

Gigi: My favorite thing about being in the musical is being able to bring your character to life.

Blueprint: Have you participated in previous musicals before?

Gigi: Yes, I participated in Beauty and the Beast and Grease

Blueprint: What can the audience expect from this performance of Bye Bye Birdie?

Gigi: It will be able to let the audience have a good laugh.

Blueprint: Did you know about Bye Bye Birdie before the musical was decided upon?

Gigi: Yes, a little.

Blueprint: Who do you think the audience’s favorite character will be and why?

Gigi: Miranda’s role, Mrs. Mae Peterson, beacause her character is absolutely hilarious! I think the audience will enjoy her role a lot!

Blueprint: Give us your best pitch on why people should come see the musical.

Gigi: People should come see Bye Bye Birdie because it is an amazing show and it will definitely get a lot of laughs. The show will definitely be one people will remember!
