The Bellwood-Antis baseball team hosted Bald Eagle Area on Tuesday, and suffered a 13-3 loss in 7 innings.
Facing off against the Eagles, who are coming off of a 2A state championship win last year, the Blue Devils knew they had their hands full.
Starting on the mound for B-A was senior Josh Dorminy, who went 4 1/3 innings, striking out three and allowing six earned runs.
Alex McCartney came in after Dorminy to throw 1 1/3 innings and let up one earned run.
Freshmen Curtis Shedlock and Jackson Dorminy closed out the game. Shedlock threw 1 inning and allowed one earned run, Jackson Dorminy finished out the game throwing 1/3 inning and forcing a put out to close out the top of the 7th.
For Bald Eagle, Brayden Dubbs threw 6 innings, striking out four and allowing three earned runs.
On the offensive side of things senior Zach Pier and freshman Chase Plummer both recorded two hits, coming in the form of a single and a double for both of them.
The boys are now 1-4 and look to capture a win away against Williamsburg today.
