This is the Millennium Falcon, which can be see in numerous star wars films.

With May The 4th coming up on Saturday I think its time to rank/reflect on Star Wars greatest movies. Obviously the Star Wars franchise has many amazing spinoffs and shows, but I think there movies are better.

1. The Empire Strikes Back. This whole movie was a huge success for the star wars industry. This movie was a sequel to A New Hope, and people think it was way better than the original. This movie was released on June 20, 1980, which makes it abut 44 years old. For the time it was made in people were calling it the best because it was action packed, heart filled, and it had a downer ending. This movie also showed that Darth Vader was actually Luke Skywalkers father.

2. Return Of The Jedi. This movie was the last film of the original star wars films. The Return Of The Jedi was released on May 25, 1983, and even though some say it wasn’t the best, I thought it was good enough to deserve the #2 spot. In this movie the trio of Luke, Han, and Leia really started clicking and eventually too down the Empire. This movie also showed “Ewoks” for the first time, which were little bear like creatures. We also found out that Luke and Leia happened to be siblings.

3. The Force Awakens. This movie hailed the return of Star Wars for a new generation. This movie was a true return for all the original characters, plus the addition of some new ones. This movie was released on December 18, 2015 making it close to 10 years old. This movie introduced many new characters like Ray, Finn, Poe Dameron, and best of all Kylo Ren. Even though this has a pretty similar storyline to A New Hope I think it’s still way better, and deserves a #3 spot.
