B-A hit the road to Martinsburg Wednesday night to take on Central. The Dragon’s came hot out of the gates, and the Blue Devils found themselves playing from behind the remainder of the game.
Bellwood-Antis lost with a final of 60-35. The Dragon’s moved to 10-3 on the season.
Central immediately found rhythm on offense. The Dragon’s put up 16 points in the first and kept the Blue Devil to just three.
Central senior Eli Muthler led the offense with 25 points. With 3:21 remaining in the half, Muthler hit his 1,000th career point.
The Dragon’s went into the third quarter with a 34-13 advantage. They came out of the half fast adding 24 more points to their total.
“We came out slow, and we couldn’t recover from there,” Holden Schreier said. “Their defensive pressure sped us up into mistakes.”
B-A had three six point scorers in the loss. The list included Connor Mayes, Colin McClellan, and Braylon Litzinger.
Central limited the Blue Devil’s offense to just 21 points in the second half en route to the 60-35 final.
The boys now travel to Bishop Guilfoyle Academy to face off against the Marauders. The game will be played Friday at 7:15. The Marauders are 11-3 on the season and second in LHAC standings.
