Another win for the teams
Both Bellwood-Antis softball and baseball teams got to hit the showers early yesterday because they jumped on their opponents from the start.
The girls’ softball team had a 10-0 victory over Moshannon Valley at Bellwood’s Memorial field.
Junior Taylor Shildt struck out seven batters along with senior Anna Wolfe having three hits, including a double, and junior Laycee Clark having two RBI’s.
“Putting the score aside, with every game we play, we are always improving in some way,” said junior third baseman, Edyn Convery.
The girls kept themselves hot with a four game win streak, improving to 5-2.
In baseball news, Cory Parson pitched a three-inning perfect game to follow up from his no hitter last week.
The boys won 15-0 over Moshannon Valley.
Freshman Ian McFarland brought in four runs followed by senior Chad Luensmann’s home run in the third inning.
Both teams will playing Tyrone tomorrow. The boy’s games will be home in Bellwood as they play a two-school double-header, first against Claysburg-Kimmel at 11 a.m. in an ICC game and then against Tyrone at 3 p.m. The girl’s will be away in Tyrone.
