The Lady Devils had every reason to hang their heads against Tyrone on Monday night.
BA was down 10 points by halftime, and their top scorer was struggling to score after spending the day in school sick.
The Lady Devils regrouped in the second half to ultimately beat the Golden Eagles 49-46.
“I started to feel sick right before the game and thought it was just nerves, but then I realized that it wasn’t. So, the first half I was just going through the motions, at halftime our coaches gave us a motivational speech and I decided to play as hard as I could for my teammates even though I wasn’t feeling the best.” Senior Lilly Gerwert said.
Lilly Gerwert led all scoring with 21 Sophomore Karlie Sweigert added a Solid 16.
Out of their combined totals of 37 points, 23 of which came in the second half.
The girls had no time to rest as they hosted Greater Johnstown on Tuesday and traveled to Penns Valley on Wednesday.
