Notice it’s warmer than usual? That is no coincidence, and the Pennsylvania State Police are investigating why this occurred when Pennsylvania’s very own Punxsutawney Phil predicted six more weeks of harsh winter just two weeks ago.
Our area had about one week of continuing colder temperatures before the cold finally snapped, leading to many days above 45 degrees, which melted a majority of the snow that was on the ground.
So, as the warmer temperatures continue day by day, the people of Pennsylvania are wondering, how are these mild temperatures and forecasted rain an example of several more weeks of winter?
After multiple call-in reports to the Pennsylvania State Police, they decided to start an investigation into Phil’s forecasting by referencing numbers provided by AccuWeather, as well as questioning Phil’s handlers in Punxsutawney.
Comparing numbers shows that our famous rodent only has had a 30% accuracy within the last decade when it comes to predicting the forecast, and the intense questioning from the PSP caused the people of the Punxsutawney Groundhog Club to crack.
A PSP spokesperson stated in an email to the B-A Blueprint that Phil’s constant inaccuracies have been intentional, because his longer winter predictions cause an increase in salt, shovels, and snowblower sales, from which he directly receives profit from.
As punishment for his actions, the Pennsylvania State Police raided Phil’s borrow early yesterday morning, and bodycam footage shows he resisted during his arrest for fraud and money laundering charges.
Phil is expected to serve 15+ years in prison, meaning that interviews are now open for Phil’s replacement groundhog.

This is absurd. This guy has represented us for years and years. He does his job and gets put in the slammer? This is unjust. I will get my lawyers to get justice in this fraudulent justice system. We need this guy, and I want him free.
