The girls look to get a win on senior night.

This past Saturday, the Tyrone/Bellwood-Antis girls’ soccer team defeated the favored Bellefonte by a score of 3-0.

Senior Marissa Panasiti tallied two goals and Raegan Plowman assisted on one of those to lead.

“I was ecstatic. Being up 1-0 at halftime was kind of scary but we came up strong and earned ourselves a quality win,” said Marissa Panasiti regarding the victory.

The girls helped their playoff chances defeating a team seeded ahead of them in the unofficial rankings. With five games left, they are looking poised to gain a higher seed after each game.

The district playoffs are looming and the girls have a big game this afternoon against Tussey Mountain. It is their Senior Night, so go out and support them.

Game time at 4 P.M. with senior festivities preceding at 3:30.
