Last night, the Bellwood-Antis boys’ basketball team beat the Juniata Valley Green Hornets at home with a final score of 69-26.

The Blue Devils put together four solid quarters of defensive work  after allowing 64 points in the first match-up the teams played.

The past few games we have gotten locked in defensively.

It was a balanced attack from the Blue Devils, with Jake Burch scoring his season high of 24, Nathan Davis adding 14, with Joey Padula, Jarret Tanneyhill, and Trent Walker adding 9, 8, and 7 respectively.

“The past few games we have gotten locked in defensively. We knew they had some young talented kids on their team, so we just tried to stay disciplined and work on the things we needed too,” said Nathan Davis.

Bellwood now improves their record to an impressive 13-2 on the year with their next game coming against Moshannon Valley on Friday.
