Last month, Bellwood-Antis freshman Alivia Jacobs won Miss Central Pennsylvania’s Miss Greater Juniata Valley’s outstanding teen, and also won the interview award at a pageant in Lewistown.

Now Alivia is playing the waiting game until her next pageant, which is Miss Pennsylvania Outstanding teen in June in Pittsburgh. If Alivia wins, she will go to Miss America Outstanding Teen in Florida.

Recently, the BluePrint has followed Alivia as she prepared to go through the many beauty pageants she competes in each year.

I originally thought that I didn’t do as well as I actually did.

Alivia has proven that even through all the stress, her determination and passion for the pageants drives her to succeed.

Alivia said the interview award was special because  she thinks that is the most stressful part of the pageant.

Looking back, Alivia said, “I think that the pageant went really well. I originally thought that I didn’t do as well as I actually did.”

During the pageant, one of the questions that Alivia was asked was “If you could choose anywhere in the world to go, where would you choose and why?”

Alivia answered, “I would want to go to Italy, but I would choose Paris because of all of its historical sites.”

She says that she is grateful for Director John Metzgar, who has already helped get all of her state paperwork in.

Congratulations, and good luck to Alivia and all of her future pageants!
